Music Manager Help: Promotion

If your question is not answered below you can also check the Artist and Label Forum to find help.

What are Powerplay campaigns?
Powerplay campaigns are promotional services that are paid for on Last.fm - they can help boost plays, or promote a release in addition to the free services that Last.fm offers.

A Powerplay campaign will allow you to target radio users that are fans of specific artists with a song of your choice, and ensure a chosen amount of radio plays. It will target plays both by the artists you select as targets and their associated tags.
I want to make my campaign more specific, is this possible?
Since the Powerplay algorithm works on tags associated to the target artists as well as the artists themselves, it is a good idea to pick target artists specific to the genre of music you are aiming for. Using target artists who have 'common' tags such as Indie or Rock will result in a broader, less specific, range of users being played your track.
How do I add money to my Music Manager account?
You can add credit easily to your account to pay for Powerplay campaigns. In your Music Manager, head into Account > Balance. You should then see your transaction history (if any), and a link to pay in money by Paypal. Enter the amount (please verify it's correct!) then press Do it to complete your transaction.
How do I improve my artists' airplay?
There are a number of things that you can do to improve your airplay, a list of these can be found on our labels forum.
Why are my releases linked to Amazon?
Last.fm automatically links to Amazon and other online retailers as part of affiliate deals, so users can buy your music online. If you wish you can input a link to the online shop of your choice, which will overwrite our default settings and remove the original links. You can do this, or revert back to our links, at any time in the Music Manager under Manage > Buy Links. If you do not sell your music online, there's also the option to remove the buy link completely.
How do I set up links to online shops from my releases?
It is easy to set up links to online shops from your releases on Last.fm, whether it be to a service such as indiestore, or your own online shop. This can be done in your Music Manager under Manage > Buy Links > selecting "I have my own shop" and entering the details. Please note that you can only enter one shop link, and this will overwrite our default links.
